Translate plug-in

Wondering if anyone has used ConveyThisTranslate with GP Premium. I am always concerned about adding any plug-in, especially where speed is concerned.
One reviewer stated: The front-to-back approach utilized by ConveyThis Translate allows it to run faster because the plugin never accesses your database.
So I am clueless as to what that means (obviously I am not a developer), but wondered if anyone else has used this plug-in.

Hmm no one has mentioned before so unfortunately I'm not very familiar with it.
You can always do a speed test before and after activating the plugin to test.
Ok, just thought someone might have used it.
