Top Header, removing caption space from beneath top header image

Hello,
I have created a top header that is a short wide image. I want nothing else for the top header. Navigation will be just below.
Although I have removed all the padding from around the top header, and the top of the content, there is still a narrow slot between the two. After going into Appearances/Widgets/Top Header and looking closely at the widget with picture in place, I see that there is an opportunity to add a caption below the picture. It appears that this default caption space is the source of this unremoveable space below my image.
It's an issue for me because my content area has a background of clouds on blue sky, and the page background is a sunset sky. This leaves an awkward white chunk of real estate just below my top header image. Any idea how I get rid of it?
Thank you,
Alice

Let's see if this works:

Hi Alice,

The link provided doesn't seem to be working. I believe that's a link on a backend side of the page which requires WP Admin access.

Can you provide the necessary details? Or perhaps link us to the actual URL of the page shown to visitors? :D
