thumbnail maker/editor

General question please. [Please forgive if sounds a bit overly simply.]
Could anyone suggest an easy to use WP plugin, that would allow me to build a table in a page and quickly upload a few rows of thumbnail sized images to it, from existing standard images in the media library and have them auto-turn into thumbnail sized images, which I could, if need be edit, ie, brighter/darker etc
Up til now, I've been mostly using an online image maker to drag in stock and turn into thumbnails - gotta be an easier way! :)

Just to clarify - I'm fine building the actual table to put the thumbnails in - I just need a thumbnail creator/editor please. Thank you.
There should be an option when adding an image from the media library to choose the image size - thumbnail is one of the options.
The size for the thumbnail can be set in "Settings > Media".

Thank you, I had seen the function before, but thought I'd ask anyway, in case there was something a more experienced person thought was better.
Using core WordPress functions is always the best :)
