Hi there!

I'm currently using Dispatch theme and at the home page it uses WP Show Post.

I would like to ask:

1. We can set showing no. of post, eg. 4 post. My question will be, if under that particular category, I have 60 posts. How do I enable my readers to go beyond that 4 posts that are showing in my page?

- Will pagination works? I saw the warning message below it, but I'm rather clueless what those warning meant. Is it safe to use or is there any easy way to go "next" or Page no.?

2. Under the Blog page, how do I ensure my reader can read all other articles that are avail in my website? at this moment, i'm able to see that there's a "MORE" button, that allows them to load the page to show more articles. Currently i have only 12 articles, so that's pretty straight forward. But what if I reach 100+ articles? will it go to say, page 1,2,3 etc? if not, how do i do that?

Finally, it's about an opt in plugin. I was looking thru' the site library and saw that some has opt in page. Do you have any free recommended plug in that works well with generatepress / dispatch theme?

thank you!!

Hi there,

1. Pagination should only be applied to a WP Show Post list if there are no other lists on the page. It was really designed to allow users to add highlighted content as opposed to replacing archives. My personal method would be to add a Button that links to the specific category archive below each of the lists if you want the user to be able to see more of that content.

2. The More Button on the blog will automatically load the next page if it exists. You can disable the Load More in Customizer > Layout > Blog if you want to display the traditional pagination with next / previous buttons and page numbers.

3. For Opt Ins - its is best to choose a plugin that supports the Opt in / Mail service you will be using - some of the sites use the Mailchimp 4 WordPress plugin - which of course is only useful if you want to use mailchimp. The good thing is GP will work with all well coded Form plugins as well as supporting any embed codes that your Opt In provider may offer.

Thanks David!

That helps! I will try it out.

Cheers!

You're welcome
