Bill
In the previous version with Headers, I could create a header and choose to use that styling in the dropdown for each page I create.
Now, it looks like I need to create a page header for each page I use? For example, in the past, if I use Beaver Builder or Elementor, I start with a blank slate and use the transparent option for the full-with top image. It works great.
It looks like now, I have to set the image in the theme and on each page. In my case, that is 1400×800. The only way around this is to use the same image for the featured image.
Not all of my pages have a transparent header, so I have to disable each one?
Thanks!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
The only major difference between the old page header and the new header element should be the addition of Display Rules: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#display-rules
You can use it to display the same header in multiple pages.
I’m not quite sure what you mean about the image part? It should be the same as before. You can either use the featured image or a custom image which would be the same for each page:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#background-imageHere are some examples that might help as well:

Thanks for the fast reply!
In the current setup, I would just use in the header content. That way I can just add my image on the page.
So, the new way relies on either a custom image for all pages or the featured image for individual pages?

StaffCustomer SupportYou can still do the same thing: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#content-1

Ok, I see. So I have to define the page headers for specific pages in the elements section vs the old way where we could just do it on the individual page via dropdown?

StaffCustomer SupportYes that’s correct.
Or you can select all pages or all posts under display rule.
Most people actually find this method either.
Let me know if need more info 🙂

Ok that was my concern since my featured image is different than the hero image.
Thanks again for your help.
