I have updated to WP 6.1.1. Am up to date with Generate Press theme 3.2.3. GP Premium 2.2.1.

Now I don't have the option to change the color of select words within a paragraph. There used to be an option, and now it isn't there.

It used to be in that block bar, after the B and I and link icon, within the down arrow dropdown menu.

I took a screenshot of this, where I have highlighted a bit of text, and this menu is what I see. There used to be an option for text color in this menu. I can't figure out how to add the screenshot here, so I put the screenshot in a new post. This is the link:

How do I get the text color option back for a snippet of text? And if you can give me the correct nouns for this bar and menu, so I describe it more concisely, I would appreciate it.

Thank you much.

Gail

Hi there,

if you go to the 3 dot settings menu in the top bar, and Deselect view > Top Toolbar. This will move the toolbar back over the block you selected. Then try the highlight option.

I just did that. It didn't change the options. It did move the location of the toolbar, but the options still don't include text color.

What should I do next?

Hi Gail,

To clarify, have you tried the Highlight option as mentioned by David? This should allow you to alter the color of a specific text.

So that's what that meant! I had thought highlighting meant highlighting, but, yes, it did change the text color. Thank you for the clarification. Consider this solved. :-)

I see. You're welcome Gail! :)
