'Testimonials' Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg Not Showing in Element
9 replies · Started by Caro on July 9, 2021
Hello team!
I have made my first element — and having a few issues.
I've created a block to sit just above the footer of each page, that contains client logos, and a testimonials slider underneath that's generated by the Ultimate Add Ons plug-in (rather than manually putting it on every single page, which I currently have) I thought it would easier in the long-run if things change.
The client logos are showing, but the slider with the comments is not.
Please could you advise on how I can fix this? I've left the slider above so you can see how the one underneath should look.

And, also how I make the element seamlessly join the content above, rather than be in a separate stand-alone box?
Thank you :)
Hi there,
try using the after_content hook - if that doesn't work then you may need to raise it with the plugin author.
Hello — no — it still doesn't work. I will contact the plugin creator and see if they can shed any light on it. Thank you.
You're welcome
Hello — the plug-in creator is not able to say why the plugin works perfectly in a normal block on a page but not in an GP element block. I just don't know what to do next to be honest. The testimonials just look like a bunch of text at the mo — they've lost their slider functionality.
Is there anything else you would be able to recommend I use?
Thank you.
This is like the issue:

The only solution I can think of is to find a slider plugin so you can insert the slider shortcode in the hook element.
Or create non-slider testimonial using GenerateBlocks like this:

Hiya, I've just heard back from the plug-in support team — they say
'It seems like the GP Premium plugin needs to add compatibility with UAG.
Please refer to this document. This document will help to load UAG blocks’ assets anywhere using an instance of our class.
https://ultimategutenberg.com/docs/assets-api-third-party-plugins/'
I've read the document and I'm really confused; if I add the class to the element block page, will it work wherever that element is used? Or will it not work, as it's not being used on every single page?
Feel like my head is going to explode!!! LOL!
Hmm I'm not quite sure either.
Can you follow up with them to see if the code would work on a custom post type?
That's what an element would be :)
Hello Leo! I've asked the question and I'm waiting for a reply. Think I might just sack it off and use the GP testimonial instead. A slider would be great but this is too much aggro! Thanks so much :)
No problem :)
I'm not a big fan of sliders as they aren't usually good for the performance of your site.
