suffix wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments in URL loads causing pageload delay

After the update, there seems to be a delay in my pageload time. Which was 990ms on first visit and on repeated visits it clocked at 239ms to 490ms.

So after i updated the theme it dramatically slowed down to 2.5 sec. So I thought the plugins might be the culprit.

Finally I used the Storefront theme and cleared.

I validated your current theme here at pingdom

and you will see this is the culprit.

Any ideas as to what I should do now?
