Subscribe widget not sending emails

Some of my readers are not getting the confirmation email sent to them after they enter their address in the 'Subscribe' box. They do get the notice that an email has been sent. The message is not in their junk/spam folder.
Any ideas on what might be causing this? Is there a way to confirm that an email has been sent? Thanks!
Hi Ralph,
GP and WordPress actually doesn't have default subscription widgets.
I assume it's from a plugin? Best to check with plugin author.
