Subdomain using global wrapper doesn't show menu down carets

My main website's menu looks great, but I have a subdomain that uses a page within the main domain as a global wrapper. Everything displays fine except for the down caret symbol for the menu. Is this because a relative path is used instead of an absolute path? And how can I fix it? Thanks for your help!
