Styling the Woocommerce Product Categories Dropwdown Widget

Hi,
I've been playing for ages to try and set the CSS for styling the product categories widget. I simply want to set the highlight colour to match the rest of the theme but can't seem to figure it out.
Any ideas?

try giving your background color in the CSS some importance:
background-color: #008080 !important;
