I have installed GP Premium and Stream with the template pages.

I am going through and changing the pages, and I would like to use different header images on different pages.

Reading through all the documentation, I am sure that it is possible, but I can’t get it to work. I have tried creating header elements specific to the page, but I’m missing something somewhere.

How can I get Stream to display a unique header image on just one page? I am putting the URL into the private information area.

    Hi there,

the Stream site uses the Block Element in Appearance > Elements:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/

And in this case you’re looking at the Page Hero element type:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-page-hero/

When you edit the Page Hero block element, and set the Background Image on the Container you can make it dynamic:

Enable the Featured Image option, and enable Use Fallback Image.

Then on any page you want a different hero image, you can simply set the Featured image in the page editor.

    Thank you for the response.

I had previously tried setting the featured image, but it simply displays the featured image below the header image.

Now after making the changes you mentioned, it appears to show the unique header image correctly, but it also repeats the featured image immediately below and looks very strange.

Putting a link in the private information area.

I had not! No idea that was there.

Turned it on and it works perfectly, thank you very much.
