Hello,
I just completed a SSL certificate instalation at chorobo.com . Everything is working fine except the navigation logo. I followed several suggestions on other threads like deleting the files and uploading again, and refreshing the image from the customizer itself. No one worked I am afraid.
The only way to get a “clean lock” security icon is by removing the logo… which makes the site branding basically dissapear. Why this is not happening with the rest of images on the site? I have hundreds. Is this a WordPress core issue? A theme issue? a host issue?
Is there a way to fix this without using any plugins? Installing additional plugins doesn’t appeal to me as a clean elegant solution. I would like to gather more info about this. Thanks in advance.
March 8, 2018 at 5:35 am #514601dasignayou just have to refresh the path for all items from http to https.
sometimes some are missed… dont know why, but thats the way it is.
just install a plugin like ‘better search replace’ and let i go through the paths – it should find all those that are not correct at the time. when its done, simply remove the plugin again.had this several times and no problem apart from several minutes of additional work …
but beware: if you injected something like the logo by custom css, you’ll have to change the path manually there. replace plugins and alike only will find paths stored in the database.
so dont worry – no big deal.

Make sure to clear WP Super Cache everytime you make a change to your site. Or simply disable it during the developing stage.
March 8, 2018 at 9:46 am #514914Paco ChoroboThank you all for your kind responses. None of those solutions were needed. I really appreciate your willigness to help, but I strongly disagree with the “install-a-plugin” solution when there are cleaner and more “proper” ways to solve problems.
For anyone reading this thread or searching for similar information here it is what I did:
1.- Use the proper wordpress config site url [settings->general] BOTH have to be https://yoursite.com
2.- Make sure your .htaccess file is correctly configured. DON’T relay on plugins. They are not faster than a well configured serverHere is my particular configuration, might help others, I will be more than happy to share: No need to use plugins, re-upload images, no cache problems…
