I just purchased GP and I am enjoying the header element features. I would like to create multiple headers for different pages that display rich text over a background image

I am wondering if it is possible to insert a shortcode in my header template that uses html I enter into field in the page editor. I have seen other themes use an “excerpt” field to achieve this. Is there any way I can achieve this without too much coding?

    Hi there,

I’m not exactly sure what you mean but does this help?

    Hi Leo

Thanks for the reply. I think Example 4 is the type of thing I am trying to do.

Where would I enter the excerpt? (Where is the excerpt field?)

    It’s a built-in option of WordPress.

See the How to instruction here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt
