Space around items of Main Menu

Does anybody know how to eliminate or reduce this annoying gap between the items and the main menu background?

The simplest way would be to add the Logo Image to the Navigation Logo in Customizer > Layout > Primary Navigation --> Navigation Logo.
In the same tab you can adjust the height of the Menu Items and this will set the height of the nav and the logo. It will maintain vertical center.
You may want to add some more white space to your original image.
