Social media homepage thumbnail

Hi!
I'm trying to fix how my homepage thumbnail looks on social media such as facebook or instagram when i post the homepage link onto those sites. How do i do this? Please see attached for an example of how it looks at the moment. As you can see, it cuts off most of the logo.

Hi there,
most SEO plugins like Yoast have a social share featured image for Facebook. Which allows you to add an image that is suited to sharing. ie. correct size.
Alternatively you can hook in meta tags for those social sharing requirements. This article covers that:

Note: any changes many need to be 'scraped' on Facebook. Which can be done via their Debugger tool.
