Social media follow button without plugin

Hello team GP, today I was tried many ways to add social media follow button without a plugin but have not got any satisfactory result.
I have been uploaded SVG icons and its working well but I did not want that any user opens the SVG image in the next window.
I know most bloggers and website developers use CSS and avoid plugins to make their site faster. I want to use font awesome icons to create this follow button. Can anyone suggest to me the best guide or code?

If you are only after social icons that links to your social profiles, then you can consider using the buttons block with icons from GenerateBlocks:
