Smooth scroll for read more button

Hi All,
I've got a site with a blog and when you click on the "read more" button, the smooth scroll doesn't quite work-- I think the sticky header gets in the way. Smooth scroll seems to be working elsewhere, so I am not sure if there is something different about the anchor generated by "read more" excerpt. Any advice?
