Slideout Navigation only available if primary nav menu is set

Hello,
I hope I have just completely missed something simple here. The only way I can get the slideout nav to appear is if I set a menu to the primary navigation? Is there a possibility I simply using slideout nav only?

I am using GeneratorPress theme 2.2.1 with GP Premium plugin 1.7.7. Apologies the site I developing on is not available on my WAN.

Hi Leo,
Yes this does work, I read that article previously but missed the bit about the blank menu. I guess that answers the question that you do need to have a menu attached to the primary nav also.
