SiteNavigationElement does not display menu URLs

Hi

In Googles Structured Data Testing Tool I have noticed something that I have two queries on the schema produced for sites I use GP Premium on:
1) The sites show a SiteNavigationElement however there are no URL properties displayed under it and so none of the sites actual URLs are listed under this schema.

2) There is also an @ID property included which shows a URL that does not exist and instead produces a 404 error on the site when you navigate to it... <domain>/site-navigation (I've left out the actual real domain but all GP premium sites I have are showing this @ID property that does not exist on the site).

I'm not sure if we are supposed to create a <domain>/site-navigation page and include site map or similar on it but by default this goes to a 404 error. Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere but I couldn't find a topic on it.

Also how to we ensure there are correct URL properties included in the schema that pickup navigation from our site?
I'm using the latest version of GP theme (2.1.4) and GP premium plugin (1.7.2)
Many thanks for your help with this, is much appreciated.

That schema is simply to tell Google that the element is the navigation. This tells them the links inside are navigation links.

Where are you seeing an @ID property?

Hi Tom

The @ID can be seen when you view the URL of any page of the site, under the SiteNavigationElement section that shows up in Google's structured data testing tool.

When you click on the element "SiteNavigationElement" it shows the @ID URL I was referring too.

Thanks

Yea that's strange. It's like they're missing the # characters.

I'll take a look at this :)

Thanks very much for looking more into this Tom :)

Is very much appreciated.

Hi Tom

Just wondering if you have found a resolution to this issue?
Thanks again

Hi there,

We'll hopefully be moving to JSON-LD in GP 2.2, but that hasn't even hit alpha testing yet. It will take some time.

This isn't an issue that will have any negative effect on your site :)
