[Support request] sitemap.xml error

I have this error when i open the url wecanpro.it/sitemap.xml

error at line 2 column 6: XML declaration allowed only at start of declaration

Wordpress 5.0.2
Generatepress template
Generatepress Child Theme
Generatepress Pro plugin
Server Apache on Siteground

I tried using various plugins (seo-all-in-one, simply sitemap etc) but there is always the same error.
I also contacted Siteground support and they tell me it depends on white space on the theme

Hi there,

Not sure why they’d say that – themes don’t have any impact on the sitemap.xml file.

How are you generating the file? For example, ours is being generated by Yoast SEO: https://generatepress.com/sitemap_index.xml
