sitemap not updating since changing to generatepress

Hello, I'm having a difficult time trying to resolve my sitemap issue. Ever since switching themes, it seems that my site map does not update. I have not installed a sitemap plugin, but it still shows my old sitemap (not updated). I've already cleared my cache and switched themes to see if the generatepress was causing the issues. Even using wp-sitemap.xml doesn't work. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Hi Raul,
Can you tell us how the sitemap file is added?
If it's added manually through FTP on your site's root folder, you may have to edit it manually again to get the preferred sitemap.
Thanks for the reply, it seems the sitemap is off an old theme and would not update. I looked in the root folder but has the backup sitemap and I have since added yoast to produce a working sitemap.

That's ideal. I'd recommend deleting any unused file like that old sitemap so it doesn't interfere with anything. Let Yoast generate a sitemap for you. :)
