Site library templates do not install properly

When I start the process of installing the template everything seems to be going well, but then the little wheel is spinning, thinking and never ending. When I stop it, I directly to see what it has installed I discover that the template has been installed incorrectly, with the text out of place, the huge icons, etc. It doesn't look like the template.

I have GeneratePress Premium 2.0.2. / WP 5.3.8 and PHP 7.2

Can you try updating your WordPress to WP 5.7.2 and see if it works properly?

Also, any chance you can check the console while doing import to see any errors?

Do you have any recent errors in your error_log file on your server? Something in there may give us a hint as to what's happening.

Just to confirm, do we have permission to install "Search" on the site you provided login info to? It seems to have existing content already.

Were you able to check your error_log file on the server for any recent errors? My assumption is that there's a PHP error happening somewhere that is preventing the REST API from completing.
