this is the 2nd site I have had this problem with the new plugin version. I am running php 7.1 and do not see the site library tab at all. If I downgrade the plugin to 1.7.8 it works fine.May 13, 2019 at 12:40 pm #898232Warren

Let me know 🙂May 13, 2019 at 1:13 pm #898258Warren
it says No HTTP API calls.May 13, 2019 at 1:19 pm #898265WarrenMay 13, 2019 at 1:20 pm #898267Warren
but of course half of the templates say “requires GP Premium 1.8”. So something is wrong with the update.May 13, 2019 at 1:23 pm #898269TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperMay 13, 2019 at 1:24 pm #898271Warren
I can only download 1.8.2. But yes you are correct. it says no calls.May 13, 2019 at 1:28 pm #898274TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperMay 13, 2019 at 1:29 pm #898275Warren
no – I tried that. and as I said, if I install 1.7.8 (even now) — it works fine except for the missing templates I needMay 13, 2019 at 1:39 pm #898288TomLead DeveloperLead Developer
You may need to contact Siteground to ask them to see if there’s anything blocking the outgoing HTTP call. The code that checks the API didn’t change at all between the two versions, so something must be blocking it.
Feel free to send me temporary admin login details if you want me to take a closer look: https://generatepress.com/contactMay 13, 2019 at 1:43 pm #898291Warren
Tom – I pasted you the API call when the other version is installed. Nothing is blocking the call if the old version works.
This is the 2nd site in 2 days I have had this problem. On 2 DIFFERENT hosts. On BOTH hosts, version 1.7.8 works fine if I delete the plugin and downgrade it.May 13, 2019 at 1:46 pm #898293Warren

Ah, you didn’t have the Site Library module activated. I just activated it and the Library has appeared. This is a change we made in 1.8 allowing you to keep the library deactivated if you don’t want it.
