Warren
this is the 2nd site I have had this problem with the new plugin version. I am running php 7.1 and do not see the site library tab at all. If I downgrade the plugin to 1.7.8 it works fine.

it says No HTTP API calls.

when I install 1.7.8 It works fine. I get….
GET https://gpsites.co/wp-json/wp/v2/sites
?per_page=50
200 OKgeneratepress_sites_init()
Plugin: gp-premium 5 1.7308
GET https://gpsites.co/wp-json/sites/site
200 OKgeneratepress_sites_init()
Plugin: gp-premium

but of course half of the templates say “requires GP Premium 1.8”. So something is wrong with the update.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperSo in GPP 1.8 what happens when you click “Refresh Sites”? No HTTP API calls at all?

I can only download 1.8.2. But yes you are correct. it says no calls.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAny caching plugin you can turn off? The mechanism that makes the HTTP API call didn’t change between those versions.

no – I tried that. and as I said, if I install 1.7.8 (even now) — it works fine except for the missing templates I need

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperYou may need to contact Siteground to ask them to see if there’s anything blocking the outgoing HTTP call. The code that checks the API didn’t change at all between the two versions, so something must be blocking it.

Tom – I pasted you the API call when the other version is installed. Nothing is blocking the call if the old version works.
This is the 2nd site in 2 days I have had this problem. On 2 DIFFERENT hosts. On BOTH hosts, version 1.7.8 works fine if I delete the plugin and downgrade it.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAh, you didn’t have the Site Library module activated. I just activated it and the Library has appeared. This is a change we made in 1.8 allowing you to keep the library deactivated if you don’t want it.
