I’m using GP with Elementor. My client recently asked that I change the blog page which had an excerpt of the most recent blog and featured image, with six archive blog posts below, to just a single blog post with the Previous/Next navigation.

When I change it to one post in Elementor, WP strips the html and it looks like one run on sentence.

Is there a way to make the Single Post template that I use, the Main Blog Index page?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I’ve looked into this before, and surprisingly I couldn’t find a solution.

If you search for “WordPress single post as front page” you’ll find a lot of people trying, but no solid solutions.

One “solution” I found was this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/

Apparently you can create an empty page, and tell it to link to your single post. Then set that page as the front page. Not sure it’ll work, but worth trying.

    Thanks for the quick response!

Is there a way then to show multiple posts just in one column? Is there a way to do that without the html being stripped? Or is it just that the index of the blog is just a combination of excerpts?

You can tell the blog posts to show the full content in Customize > Layout > Blog by changing the content type to “Full”.

Having the posts in one column is the default display.
