Sider theme: (1) use on existing site (2) ads in header (3) infinite scroll

Two questions about the Sider theme:

1. I imported it into an existing site with about 1,000 posts, then just read the Site Library themes are meant for new installations and could cause problems. Everything seems fine, but I haven't checked extensively. Is there anything I should be looking for?

2. How to I get Google ad code into the bottom of the header (which would be, underneath the menu)?

3. On mobile, with infinite scroll, I'm often getting long delays before the scrolling first begins. The WiFi sometimes cuts out briefly where this has happened, but I've done tons of browsing from this location and never run into something like this, which is why I mention. Problem is that the home page loads normally, then when you get to the bottom, there's no indication that anything has stalled, and the lag can last so long that you think everything's fine, there's just no more content. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Hi there,

1. It should be ok. Hopefully you didn't import the demo contents? If so you might want to delete those.

3. I think that heavily depends on your internet speed and phone speed. You can use a button to load more posts, or use the load more and loading label:

Let me know if this helps :)

1. OK, thanks. I've clicked through more pages and still no problem. Did not import demo content.

2. I put the ad code in a Custom Text widget in the Header. I think I forgot that in Sider, the header is in the sidebar position.

3. OK. I'll test this out some more, including the more button, and reply here.

Sounds good :)

3. For now, I turned on the More button, that solves things for now. If and when I have a more detailed description of the infinite scroll problem, which may be just very specific to my location and device, I'll open another ticket.

Thanks!

No problem :)
