sidebar widget

hello I have a problem with my sidebar widget. I don't want it on the page nieuws
I have set the page to content no sidebars but the widget still shows up.
further I only have the widget on the homepage which is exactly as I wanted it.
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the page nieuws is a collection of my posts but I hardly can imagine that.
Can you tell me how I get rid of it?
Hi there,
if the nieuws page is set as your blog page then change in the Customizer > Layout > Sidebars > Blog Sidebar Layout. The meta boxes on the blog or any archive / index pages won't work as WP doesn't allow that.
