Sidebar displaying by default even with no content

Hi,

I'm using modern tribe's calendar. They have a default route to /events/ which opens the calendar month view.

There is a 'Display' setting in the calendar to use 'default page template' as the default template for the /events/ page which uses page.php in Generate press.

However event though I do not have any widgets the empty sidebar html is still displayed. I don't want to mess with the template because I may need to use the sidebar on other pages. You can see the example here: https://www.jamyangleeds.co.uk/jamyangleeds/events/

If you go to https://www.jamyangleeds.co.uk/jamyangleeds/calendar/ you can see what I'm trying to achieve. This page is a standard page using a calendar short code provided.

Do you have any thoughts on this? Many thanks for your help.

Actually I've sort of solved it by adding a Redirect rule to the .htaccess file that redirects /events to /calendar in my local env. That should do the trick for me. Thanks

Hi Dom,

Do you just want to disable sidebar for a specific page?

If so, when you edit a page, there's a setting under layout tab allows you to do so:

Let me know if I miss anything :)
