Should I update to GP 2.2.2?

This is probably a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway. I currently have a child theme and am using GP 2.2.1. Is there a reason I should update to 2.2.2?
If I do update, would I risk problems with the child theme? (As I understand it that shouldn't be an issue or am I mistaken)?

Hi there,
Using the latest version is always a good idea.
Nothing should break - child theme uses the core files from the parent theme.
