Shortcodes not working using Sections

Hi There - I'm about to do a test marketing launch of my site tomorrow and am just having some trouble with some last-minute mop up. I created a page that has two sections - one for some content and one for a form. However, the form that's generated using a shortcode is not appearing. I've never not had this shortcode work on the website before. Is there any reason shortcodes wouldn't work when placed inside of a section? Thanks.

Is it a custom coded shortcode? If so, can you show me the function?

Thanks for responding. The strangest thing happened - it's suddenly working again. I have no idea why it wasn't working all day yesterday. There were no plugins I activated or deactivated. Anyways, it seems to be okay now.
