[Support request] Setting the Site Featured Image

I’m having trouble with the featured image that displays when I share my website. The image that displays is the first image in the Home Page, not the Featured Image in the Home Page Element.

In the element I have the “disable featured image” checked (see screen shot)

In the page, I added the image I wanted as the page’s featured image (it’s not used in the page – see screen shot).

However, when I share the link in FB Messenger, I still get the first image on the page, not the element image and not the featured image. (screen shot)

What am I missing, and how do I force the site to display the correct featured image?

Hi there,

GP doesn’t actually control what the preview shows.

I would recommend trying a plugin like YoastSEO.
