I am using the beaver builder page builder on my generatepress theme. I noticed that beaver builder has a break point for Medium devices: 992 px. I believe that is different than the medium device break point for generatepress? Should I change the beaver builder settings so that that they match?
the mobile breakpoint for GP is 768px.
You can adjust the BB breakpoint to match, or you can set it where you like as it will only be used to adjust the BB Content, you may want for example columns to stack differently at a larger device size.
Just to confirm, the mobile breakpoint for generatepress is 768px and the medium breakpoint is 1024px?
I am thinking it makes sense to match the breakpoints of the theme menu with the page builder for consistency/simplicity. I’ll see what other people are doing regarding that.
I know this has been awhile. But this is unfortunately not correct. The breakpoints in Elementor are the exact same, but the Customizer in GP does not show the same design as in the Elementor edit page.
No, it’s a general thing. When editing in Elementor and then using the Customizer to double-check, GP always shows me mobile version on Tablet, for example, even though the breakpoints should be set the same according to what is mentioned. This has always been a bit confusing.
Oh yeah – the Customizer view for tablet is out, its viewport is set at around 720px – i think its an old WP thing. As GP itself only use the 768px breakpoint it doesn’t cause an issue.
For responsive testing i always use the browser dev tools and iOS simulator.
