Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
When it comes to SEO, the goal of a theme like GeneratePress is to make sure the foundation of your site is fast and easy for search engine robots to crawl. Other than that, there’s not much a theme can do. Ultimately, it’s the content of your website that Google reads and ranks.
As for the Yoast error, this should help: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/warning-focus-keyword-not-in-first-paragraph/
Let me know if you need more info 🙂

Hi, sorry to hijack an old thread but I’m having the same problem.
Tom – thanks for the reply but I think you don’t understand the problem – Yeost isn’t picking up the first paragraph when the paragraph is inside a container (also true using generate blocks on another theme). So however many times you put the kephrase in the first paragraph, Yeost won’t recognise it. WordPress also can’t access text inside a container to create post excerpts etc.
I understand that this (probably) won’t actually change the google ranking, but as a designer I’m less likely to use generatepress if it makes me look bad to my clients (generates SOE errors).
One bodge is to create a paragraph element above the first container on the page – but that messes up the styling.
I guess this may not be an easy fix for you, but I’d hope you are at least aware of the problem.March 25, 2022 at 6:36 am #2167020David
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
this topic was raised before the official release of the block editor. So unless the OP was using Gutenberg plugin i am not sure these two issues are related.
Can you raise a new topic where we can cover off some of the known issues with innerBlocks and we can take a close look at maybe one of the sites with this issue ?
