I am using Yoast for SEO on my site. The titles are disabled, but I use H1 tags in the content for page titles. An image is included with the title in the H1 tags. Does the image present a problem with SEO?

    <h1><img src="logomark.jpg">Page Title</h1>

    Thanks!

Hi Rick, to the best of my (limited SEO) knowledge there is no clear answer. A lot of big sites wrap their logo with alt text inside a href for their logo. Personally i like to keep things clean and would sooner leave the H1 untainted.

I tend to agree with you. So far, Yoast SEO hasn’t produced any search results, but I’ll remain patient and see if anything changes.

I am a fan of the free SEO Framework plugin rather than Yoast. It is very simple to use and rock solid. Sybre the lad who developed it is also quite brilliant and provides prompt and meaningful support.

I have included The SEO Framework in plugin directory at GeneratePressExamples.com

Check it out. I think you will find it much more user friendly than Yoast.

    Kind Regards

I agree with Max. The SEO Framework plugin is a good and easy to use solution. IMHO Yoast is a total overdose and too complex.

Don’t expect that a SEO plugin can be the Holy Grail for your SEO ambitions. It only supports your efforts and it’s not THE thing. If there are no results after a longer period, maybe you review some parts of your website, again. Ranking good in Google in a short time period has become more and more difficult. I don’t know for how long you are working on your site, but you have to be patient.
