Sections do not show in my home page

Hi there,
I have a Home page with the header enabled wich shows up just fine.
But I also turned on sections and want to add some content below the header and it just does not show. Are they mutually exclusive?
This is very confusing. Please help

Try removing this block of CSS in your child theme:
.home .site-content {
display: none;
