    Hi,
I have added a Search Box to the main navigation.
But now that I am testing it, I see that the search results aren´t displayed in a way that would help any visitor: basically I searched for “Via Ferratas” and I got a block of text (without any format) and when I click on “Read more” it takes me to the entire page (home page in this case) which isn´t any help, because the visitor would need to scan the entire page in order to find “Via Ferratas” anyway.
I am looking for a way of improving the search (maybe highlighting the keyword within the page, or getting a list of the paragraphs where the keyword has been found…)

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,

the basic WP Search is pretty terrible. In page searching / highlighting isn’t something i am aware of in a plugin, can be done within the browser though.

This article covers some of the functions available – SearchWP is probably the best but is a premium plugin:

Also found this which may be of interest:
