I am working on a new site, and I would like to create a couple of options for the color scheme so I can get feedback for each.

To change the colors manually, I change the following:
    – Colors in Customizer
    – Colors in my style.css for my child theme
    – Colors in my Lightweight Social Icons widget

I know I can export/import customizer settings, but was wondering about how to make the switch between colors schemes easy and fast (and less prone to error). Can I save something under a child theme? So Child theme dark, Child Theme light?

    Hi there,

Unfortunately there isn’t a special way to do this.

The easiest way I can think of is to do 2 separate installs for one color scheme each.

Let me know if this helps 🙂

I guess I can add all of the color items to the style.css sheet and not use the customization section at all

The Customizer does have drafts and revisions. It might be worth playing with that?: https://make.wordpress.org/core/2017/11/03/new-features-and-enhancements-with-customizer-changesets-in-4-9/
