RSS error sentence on Homepage

Hi there,
Can you help at all with this, please?
I'm trying to add an RSS feed, which does show up on the Homepage, but with an error sentence. Now, because I'm just setting up without me actually sending anything to the feed yet, is this why I get this error or? And in thinking "not" I'm kind of stuck. Any suggestions? I'm using WP platform but installed it using Generate Press widget.
Thanks very much,
Debbie
Hi there,
What is the code you are adding where did you get it?
Let me know :)
Hi there,
I'm not adding any code.
I logged into my WP that has Generate Press. Went to the Widget area and added it. It asked me the RSS feed URL. That's the only thing I was asked about.
Now, the link above is for CSS - not RSS feed. Is there a reason I have to investigate using CSS?
Did you have a look at the site:

Thank you,

Does something like this help?
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/what-is-rss-how-to-use-rss-in-wordpress/
The Adding CSS link is just in my signature along with the documentation link.
Hi Leo,
I'm not sure you've investigated this error. One giveaway was asking me what code I used.
I don't need a link to explain to me what RSS is. I already know what it is and where to find it etc. I went into my site and added the widget and got an error code.
From feed validator: it's not valid. Check my site please.

Too you can look further into it:

Please fix this.
Thank you.
Hmm I could be wrong but I don't believe that's an error due to GeneratePress as GP doesn't interfere with WordPress HTML widgets.
Can you do me a favor and activate a twenty series WordPress theme and see if the error still exists?
Hi Leo,
It still exists.
So now it's off to WP to fix the error?
Thank you.
I'd first make sure everything is set up correctly.
If it is already then checking with WordPress support might be the next step.
