REPLACING IMAGES IN 'EMERALD' LIBRARY SITE

I'm considering using the Emerald template but I can't see how to replace the images in the containers at the top of the Home page. Elsewhere the usual 'replace' option is offered. I've tried removing the image in HTML but that interfered with the layout (I may not have been careful enough with the code) and I couldn't see how to upload new images from my media library. Is there a problem with it or am I doing something wrong?
