Replacing header and footer with Elementor styled ones on single blog post

I am trying to use the Layout Element to disable the footer, header and primary navigation on all blog posts but when I do this it also seems to remove the post content. I am using a footer and navigation I designed using Elementor so really need to remove these elements but leave the blog post content alone.
Any ideas where I might be going wrong?

Hi Gemma,
it looks as though you are using the Elementor Canvas template, this removes all theme elements and their functions. So the disable elements won't work (neither will hooks or headers) as they simply don't exist.
There are methods to workaround this. Let me know.
