Removing Featured Image on Catergory Page

If I select a catergory, it starts showing the featured image for each post in that catergory.
I have the featured image disabled but it still shows?
It's massive so is there anyway to not show it on catergory page?

can you check the Display featured images is unchecked for Archives in the Customizer > Layout > Blog. If it is then can you link me to a page where i can see the issue?

I have just noticed as well, i can move where the featured image is positioned and the size of it too! great!
