Removing Borders and Sidebar
7 replies · Started by Jonathan on September 2, 2018
Hi.
First query: On my blog page I have light blue borders surrounding my content (on the left and right). In all other pages I use sections to avoid borders but cannot do that for my blog page. How can I eliminate the borders and allow my content to span the across the page?
Second query: My WooCommerce Shop page appears to be set up to use the Blog page settings. However, I do wish to have the sidebar with archives and categories in it. How can I delete the sidebar from my shop page without removing it from my Blog page?
Many thanks,
Jon
Hi there,
1) You can actually use our new Layout Element for this:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#container
If you want full width on every page, then set the Display rule to Entire Site.
2) WooCommerce sidebar layout is actually in its own module:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/woocommerce-overview/#shop
Let me know if this helps :)
Thanks for the links. They have helped me update my Generatepress and sort out the Layout Elements in section 1. However, I'd appreciate help in working out how to remove the sidebar in the 'Shop' page without also removing it in my 'Blog' page.
I've tried doing it in Elements, but no success as yet.
Thanks, Jon
Hi there,
in the Elements display rules select the Product Archives, this will only apply to the Shop pages.
Perfect! Thank you :)
You're welcome :)
How I'm able to remove the sidebar at the cart?

Any chance you can open a new topic for your question?
Thanks :)
