Removing Author Name from Blog Posts

I don't want the author name to automatically appear in blog posts but would rather enter it manually. Is there a way to stop the name from automatically generating?

Thank you. I would like to remove the author name from all past posts and prevent it from appearing in future posts.
Yup the customizer option should do that.
