[Support request] Remove the excerpt “…” if Excerpt word count set to 0

Hi Tom, I
d like to make a suggestion to remove the archive excerpt “…” if Excerpt word count set to “0” AND the Read more button is ticked in the settings. Having the “…” by itself above the Read more button doesn’t seem necessary. I understand css can hide it but I just thought it would be easier if this could happen automatically. I can’t see any use of the “…” if the Excerpt word count is “0” AND the Read more button is activated (as can be seen here).

I believe this was talked about before but we decided against it.

Can’t quite remember the reason though but I’ll bring it up to our team again 🙂

I’ll create an issue for this so we can explore more – seems to me like it shouldn’t display if no text is displaying. We’ll take a look at fixing it in 2.2.0 🙂
