Remove Date for Search Results

Hi, When I search for any of my targeted keywords, many results don't show dates in the results whereas my website publishes date as 2016 which I guess is not correct or good for results. I am using Yoast plugin and have disabled dates, but it still shows up.

Even Amazon is not showing date in search results! What would you suggest.
When I checked one of my competitors URL in Google Snippets, the results was just a single term, 'Detected' and nothing else. Whereas when I checked mine, the result is 'Detected' followed with Hcard, Comment, Breadcrumb, Creative Work, Review....

Have you checked with YoastSEO on this? Seems like their option should work.
No, I have disabled from there but it still shows up!
Yes I understand. So looks like we both believe their option isn't working correctly.
In that case, have you checked with their support and see if they can offer any insights into why it isn't working?
Another option here is to test using a twenty-series theme. If that solves the problem then we will need to take a look from GP's end.
