Recently I have created a custom homepage for my website using Elementor and set that page as a home page in customizer.
Now I have a question that where GeneratePress default home page gone? Is that automatically deleted or hidden?
Hi there,
I assume you are referring to the default home/blog page?
If you have a static front page, then you just need to create a new page, then assign it to Posts page:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
Let me know if this helps :)
Q.1. You mean the default home page by GeneratePress has gone?
Q.2. And I need to create a new posts page using Elementor page builder or GeneratePress and then assign it to Posts page?
1. There isn't a default home page from GeneratePress - it's just the default WordPress blog page as explained here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
2. I don't believe the free version of Elementor can be used to modify the posts page. If you want to use GP, simple add a new page, then assigned it to the Posts page, then you can modify it using the customizer settings:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-content-layout/
But I have the premium version of Elementor.
Then something like this might help: https://docs.elementor.com/article/339-creating-an-archive-template-with-elementor-pro
If you have more questions regarding to Elementor, might be good to check with their support :)
Great thanks Leo.
No problem :)
