Regenerate Thumbnail Error

Hey guys,

I'm trying to regenerate thumbnails on a clients website and I am getting this error:

ERROR: Unable to load the metadata for this attachment.

The strange part is that I uploaded an image yesterday and I can regenerate thumbnails for that image but not any of the other images in the media library that I've tried.

When I deactivate GeneratePress the thumbnails can be regenerated so I believe it is a theme conflict in some way.

You can see the images on the shop page under the Quizzes section should be square based on customizer settings but they aren't: https://thebetternutritionprogram.com/nutrition-shop/#quizzes

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Clayton,

I just tried it with GP Premium activated and didn't get an error.

When you say "When I deactivate GeneratePress", do you mean you deactivated GP premium?

What if you only have GP Premium activated?

GP Premium is still active. I just switched to 2019 and it worked...

Yes sir.

Ok so I tested this again and didn't get an error:

GP should have nothing to do with the Media Library either but let's find out why.

Can you try using GP theme and deactivate all plugins and see if the issue still exists?

I lied, it seems to be GP Premium not GeneratePress.

Hmm I tested with GP Premium activated (and a whole bunch of other plugins actually).

So when you activate GP Premium plugin and keep all other plugins disabled, does the issue show up again?

Neither GP or GP Premium should have anything to do with Media Library.

So on the staging environment I just deactivated and re-activated all plugins and it seemed to fix the issue so I'm going to give that a try on the live site after I backup. Thanks for testing. I'll let you know how it goes.

Looks like it was a third party plugin conflict. Thanks for the testing and supporting such an amazing theme!
