    Hello Community

I recently bought generatepress and elementor. I heard they both work perfectly together, but after start building my Website, I stumbled over some problems.

I want to start from scratch with elementor and what I’ve understood so far is, you need a theme (generatepress) as a fundament.
The thing is, I don’t want to start a Blog. Generate press give me always these Headers, Page Heros, Elements, Sidebars, Footers which I believe is probably great, but I don’t want all that, I basically want a blank Page where I can start building my website with elementor.

So what is the best approach in my case?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

you can change the Template in the Post / Page Editor to Canvas – this effectively is a blank page. Using this however will lose all of the GP Elements, this includes Hooks making it more difficult if you want to add Google Analytics or other scripts to your Site.

Personally if i have the need to create a completely blank page then i do the following:

    1. Ensure Elements Module and Disable Elements module is activated in Appearance GeneratePress.
    2. Appearance > Element > New > Layout Element.
    3. In Layout Element Set Pagebuilder Container to Full Width, and use the disable elements to remove what you don’t need.
    4. Then set the Display Rules for where you need that.

The advantage of doing this is you keep the GP Hooks and can still use the GP Elements such as its Navigation etc.

    Excellent,

Thanks for the quick reply David. This was exactly what I was looking for and thanks for the suggestions regarding the WebHooks.

I think I really need to work on and find out more about all the features for fully leverage the opportunities from GP.
But for now, I just want to launch my Website as soon as possible.

    Thanks Again, excellent support.
