Recommended method of replacing old theme with GP

Hi
What would be the recommended method for replacing my old theme with GP premium?
I'm doddering between just making the switch from my old ithemes builder theme to GP,
I performed this on an disused site running builder with no issues. Then I designed the look via customiser
that I want on my main site.
The other option I read is to have the site cloned and push it to live when I'm happy with it.

There isn't a recommended method - both methods you mentioned should work :)
I like the second option a bit better but it's up to you.
