Hello!
I want to display the latest posts from a specific category at the end of the page (just like it works in categories in your theme).
Is it possible to do this without a plugin?

There isn't recent posts added by default in the theme.
A plugin is needed for something like this.
I used Recent Posts Widget Extended for Rumour:

Thank you, but I would like to go it without a plug-in and, if possible, use a shortcode.
That would require a custom solution which is outside the scope of this forum unfortunately.
Keep in mind that code is code, doesn't matter if it's added using functions or plugins, it's still code.
